Cobb runs a two-tier system. The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority treats the water and sells it wholesale, and the City of Marietta Water Department and the Cobb County Water System deliver it. Supply comes from two sources: the Chattahoochee River through the Quarles plant and Lake Allatoona through the Wyckoff plant.
